Milestones Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Upper Elementary Classroom Teacher to join our dynamic team in Jacksonville, NC.
The ideal candidate is a dedicated educator who creates an engaging, structured, and positive classroom environment where students are challenged to grow academically while developing confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
Our teachers work collaboratively with administration, support staff, and families to provide meaningful, standards-based instruction tailored to the needs of their students. We are looking for an educator who brings energy and creativity to the classroom, maintains high academic and behavioral expectations, and understands the importance of building strong relationships with students.
Primary Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction for upper elementary students.
Develop lesson plans aligned with grade-level standards and curriculum expectations.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with varying academic abilities and learning styles.
Use assessment data and student performance to guide instruction and provide appropriate intervention or enrichment.
Establish and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment with clear expectations and consistent classroom management.
Monitor student academic progress and maintain accurate records of grades, assignments, and assessments.
Communicate effectively and professionally with parents regarding student progress, concerns, and successes.
Collaborate with fellow teachers, academic support staff, and administration to support student achievement.
Participate in school activities, professional development, meetings, and other responsibilities associated with being an active member of the Milestones Academy team.
Foster a classroom culture where students feel supported, challenged, respected, and excited to learn.
