What are the responsibilities and job description for the ADMIN RESD & DT position at MILESTONE INC?
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the supervision of the Senior Vice President of Adult and Day Services, is responsible for the operation of the community based residential program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promotes the individuals’ served care and well-being on an on-going basis, and develops and coordinates intra-agency and community resources and awareness in order to best meet the individuals’ served needs.
- Supervises and evaluates Resident Services Director, QSP, and service providers including necessary disciplinary action or termination if necessary.
- Ensures compliance of the program with all applicable standards and regulations, promulgated by the Department of Human Services, Offices of Developmental Disabilities, DPH and BQM.
- Screens applicants for admission to the program in conjunction with the Social Services Department.
- Functions as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team, participates in annual staffing's and supervises the Resident Services Director and/or QIDP in reviewing all individuals served programming and services.
- Prepares all required information for licensure surveys for the program annually.
- Develops and implements staffing patterns for the program to ensure most efficient and effective staff allocation.
- Prepares reports and proposals as requested
- Ensures that the office building and all individuals’ served residences are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
- Responds to special needs in a timely manner as they arise in matters such as Human Rights, grievances, departmental concerns, etc
- Ensures that individual programming is appropriate to needs, including the development of necessary resources.
- Ensures availability of leadership resources for all homes through AOD and NOD systems.
- In compliance with Milestone, Inc. philosophy and policies toward Human rights, immediately intervenes on behalf of the individual(s) served and reports to the appropriate agency (OIG, DCFS, IDPH) and/or Supervisor.
- Assures periodic Interdisciplinary Team reviews as needed on each individual served.
- Proposes policies and procedures as they relate to this program and submits them to the SVP.
- Plans for annual budgetary needs for assigned programs and ensures appropriate allocation of these resources.
- Allocates consultant resources to all facilities as needed.
- When applicable maintains professional licensure.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in the field related to developmental disabilities.
- Must be able to intervene in a behavior or health related crisis.
- QIDP Certification.
- Two years in field and supervision preferred.
