Position Summary
The Recruiter is responsible for driving full-cycle recruiting efforts across a variety of roles within the organization, including operations, field leadership, and corporate functions. This role will partner closely with hiring managers to identify talent needs, build candidate pipelines, and deliver high-quality hires in a timely and efficient manner.
The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with multiple open requisitions. This role requires a balance of hands-on execution and strong partnership with business leaders, with a focus on building sustainable recruiting processes and talent pipelines as the organization continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Recruiting
- Manage the end-to-end recruiting process, including intake, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer support
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, candidate profiles, and recruiting strategies
- Drive timely movement of candidates through the hiring process
Sourcing & Pipeline Development
- Proactively source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, networking, and referrals
- Build and maintain pipelines for high-priority and hard-to-fill roles
- Develop and maintain relationships with trade schools, mortuary programs, and industry organizations to support long-term talent pipeline development
- Represent Milestone at industry events, career fairs, and school visits, with occasional travel required for networking and recruiting initiatives
Hiring Manager Partnership
- Set clear expectations with hiring managers regarding roles, timelines, and responsibilities
- Provide guidance on candidate quality, market conditions, and hiring strategy
- Ensure hiring managers are actively engaged in candidate review and decision-making
Candidate Experience
- Deliver a professional, timely, and positive experience for all candidates
- Maintain clear communication throughout the hiring process
- Represent Milestone’s brand and values effectively
Process & Reporting
- Track recruiting activity, pipeline health, and hiring progress
- Maintain accurate records within the applicant tracking system
- Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes and efficiency
Support Organizational Growth
- Assist with hiring needs related to acquisitions and integrations
- Support high-volume or urgent hiring needs as required
- Contribute to building scalable recruiting practices across the organization
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- 2–5 years of recruiting experience (in-house or agency)
- Experience managing multiple requisitions simultaneously
- Strong sourcing and candidate evaluation skills
- Ability to build relationships with external partners, including schools and industry organizations
- Comfortable representing the company in networking and recruiting events
- Ability to build relationships and influence hiring managers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate independently and take ownership of results
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Experience in multi-site or service-based organizations preferred

Salary : $55,000 - $75,000
