Working Foreman – Commercial Carpentry (Rochester, NY area)
Milestone Construction Partners is hiring an experienced Working Foreman to lead crews on commercial carpentry projects in the Rochester area — framing, drywall, ceilings, doors/frames/hardware, casework, trim, and specialties. The role is split roughly 60% supervising and 40% hands-on, so you'll stay directly involved in the work while managing the crew.
Our Self Perform division operates as its own business unit, taking on select projects for our GC division as well as work directly with outside clients. That means more variety across projects and steady, consistent work in the local market.
Pay & Benefits
- Base salary: $72,800–$85,280/year

What You'll Do
- Supervise and work alongside carpenters and laborers, setting daily goals and leading by example
- Perform carpentry tasks approximately 40% of the time — framing, drywall, ceilings, finish work
- Plan work, lead daily huddles, and coordinate with project superintendents and other trades
- Read drawings, perform take-offs, and plan materials and manpower
- Enforce safety standards and maintain quality on every job
- Track hours, labor budgets, and materials, documenting daily progress in Procore
What You Bring
- A strong background in commercial carpentry and interior construction
- Experience leading crews as a foreman, lead carpenter, or similar
- Ability to read drawings, perform take-offs, and plan materials and manpower
- Clear communication with crews and superintendents
- A commitment to safety and first-time quality
