What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Accountant (Construction) position at Milestone Construction Group, LLC?
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
- Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
- Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
- Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
- Report analysis and findings to management team
- Prepare construction loan draws
- Job Costing and Overhead allocations
- Intra company transactions and journal entries
- General Ledger including AR, AP, Cash Management, Journal Entries, Contracts, Subcontracts & compliance
- Monthly Bank Reconciliations of multiple accounts
- GL monthly account reconciliations
- Assist in yearly accounting audits and coordinate with outside CPA's and provide reports needed for the annual engagement
- Handles and manages the accounting of various projects
- Coordinates with Project Managers regarding invoice approvals and job costs overrun
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting or other related fields
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- At least one year working experience with Sage 300CRE accounting program
- Working experience with Textura Project Management
- Knowledge of Procore
- Working experience with QuickBooks
- Working experience with loan draws and pencil draws
- Detail and deadline-oriented
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Works well with clients and peers
- Excellent communication and written skills
