Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including CCTV, security alarms, fire alarm systems, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and access control hardware.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately complete system installations and repairs.
- Perform cabling tasks using power tools and hand tools to ensure neat and compliant wiring setups in construction or retrofit environments.
- Conduct system testing and remote access software configurations to verify proper operation of security and surveillance systems.
- Diagnose electrical issues related to low voltage circuits and collaborate with electrical teams for integration into building infrastructure.
- Provide field service support by troubleshooting on-site issues quickly and efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, service reports, and installation procedures for client records and future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in low voltage systems or related fields such as security, surveillance, or telecommunication.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using power tools, hand tools, and schematics for system installation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts essential for configuring remote access software and networked security devices.
- Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) standards relevant to low voltage wiring practices.
- Experience working with CCTV cameras, sensors, fire alarm systems, alarms sales processes, locksmithing basics, and surveillance equipment.
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately and implement system design specifications effectively.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
