Position Summary
The Estimator/Project Manager is responsible for preparing project estimates, managing awarded projects from start to finish, communicating with customers, and performing field measurements when needed. This position is primarily office-based but includes occasional visits to job sites.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate estimates from drawings and specifications
- Review blueprints and project documents
- Perform field measurements as required
- Communicate with customers throughout the estimating and project lifecycle
- Coordinate projects from award through completion
- Monitor project schedules and progress
- Maintain organized project documentation
Qualifications Required
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to read construction drawings and blueprints
- Strong math and measurement skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications
Preferred
- Experience in estimating, project management, or the miscellaneous metals or construction industry
- Experience reading architectural and structural drawings
- Knowledge of commercial and residential construction practices
