What are the responsibilities and job description for the INVENTORY RECEIVING ASSOCIATE position at Miles of Golf?
Job Summary: The Receiving Associate receives all product, custom and stock, for the company. They will check specifications of product upon arrival. They will communicate with our customers and vendors as it relates to the customers custom order and/or warranty issues. The Receiving Associate reports to the GENERAL MANAGER.
Requirements: An in-depth knowledge of the game of golf and familiarity with the products in the golf shop is highly preferred. The person must also be a good communicator and comfortable interacting with customers. Computer skills are necessary. This person will be expected to use Google workplace, OEM business portals, and other such computer software necessary for the job.
Functions:
- Receive all products from delivery drivers (UPS, FedEx, Etc.), and develop a positive working relationship with them.
- Receive products into our inventory system accurately and in a timely manner.
- Use OEM portals to find invoices when possible to ensure receiving accuracy.
- Communicate with our customers when necessary in a kind and pleasant manner.
- Ensure newly received products are put on the sales floor upon arrival.
- Communicate with OEM’s regarding warranty issues. This is to be done in a kind and pleasant manner. Warranties should also be processed in an expedited manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Maintain a good inventory of necessary supplies; labels, hang tags, etc.
- Maintain a positive relationship with the other company employees.
- Gain knowledge of the products within the golf shop
- Gain knowledge of the game of golf
- Such other tasks as are necessary to sell the merchandise and services of Miles of Golf
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Consistent repeat motions with wrist, hands, and/or fingers
- Consistent ability to lift arms over head
- Work that may require ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Occasional work in outdoor conditions including cold, heat, wind, rain, snow.
- Must be comfortable working alone for extended periods of time
NOTE: This job has some seasonality to it. During our peak season (Jan - August), 40 hours per week is required. Our off-season may result in a small reduction of hours.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
