Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. Responsibilities
- Operate and drive commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and tankers.
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and cargo details.
- Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
- Operate forklifts as needed for loading/unloading tasks.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the truck to uphold company standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.
- Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of manual transmission operation.
- Experience with refrigerated trailers or specialized equipment is a plus.
- Ability to load and unload cargo safely using appropriate techniques.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
