Responsibilities
- Interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate execution of concrete projects.
- Prepare sites by constructing formwork, installing rebar, and setting up formwork systems according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Operate concrete mixers, pumps, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to pour, finish, and cut concrete surfaces.
- Install various concrete features such as sidewalks, driveways, slabs, curbs, and decorative hardscape elements.
- Ensure compliance with construction workplace safety regulations by following safety protocols during all phases of work.
- Perform finishing tasks including smoothing, sealing, caulking, and applying textures or coatings to achieve desired aesthetics.
- Collaborate with team members on construction estimates, project timelines, and quality control to meet client expectations.
Requirements
- Proven experience working on construction projects involving concrete pouring, finishing, formwork construction, rebar installation, and masonry.
- Mechanical knowledge of tools such as hand tools, power tools, concrete cutters, and concrete pumps.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans accurately.
- Strong understanding of construction estimating processes and blueprint specification interpretation.
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations including OSHA standards or equivalent safety protocols.
- Skilled in heavy lifting, working at heights (roofing), renovation work including plastering or stucco application as needed.
- Valid experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or cranes related to concrete placement.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse project teams.
