What You’ll Do
As a Full Stack Developer II at Mile6, you’ll contribute to a wide range of digital projects—from internal business tools to hybrid mobile apps to dynamic websites. You’ll work within agile sprint cycles, write clean, testable code, and collaborate with designers and product owners to bring great digital products to life.
You’ll also be encouraged to experiment with new technologies, suggest architectural improvements, and help elevate our dev culture through thoughtful collaboration and code quality.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain full-stack web and hybrid mobile applications using Laravel, Vue, React, Angular, and Ionic
- Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code for both backend and front-end systems
- Contribute to database design and optimize queries for performance and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and internal demos
- Build and consume RESTful APIs, write middleware, and integrate third-party services
- Write and maintain unit tests, prioritize reducing tech debt, and follow TDD where appropriate
- Build and maintain applications using AWS services like S3, RDS, EC2, and Lambda
- Collaborate with product team members (project managers, product owners, product managers, designers) and clients to clarify requirements and translate user stories into working code
- Stay up-to-date with new frameworks, dev tools, and emerging best practices
Required Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience in web and/or app development using modern frameworks
- Strong experience with Laravel and a modern JavaScript framework (Vue preferred, React/Angular acceptable)
- Experience developing hybrid mobile apps (e.g., Ionic, Capacitor, or React Native)
- Fluency with Git, modern JS build tools (Webpack, npm, Yarn), and Composer
- Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and deployments (S3, EC2, RDS, Lambda)
- Ability to write unit tests and work within a TDD mindset
- Solid understanding of web application security best practices
- Experience working in an agile, sprint-based environment
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset
Bonus Points
- Experience working with Symfony or maintaining legacy PHP applications
- Familiarity with macOS development environments
- Exposure to mobile application deployment workflows
- Interest in mentoring junior developers or leading small technical efforts
- Curiosity about AI and LLMs and how they can enhance dev workflows or digital products
