About us
Mile High Kids and Community Development Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to community and child development. MHK was awarded a Federal Head Start grant to provide comprehensive child development services in Virginia Beach and Eastern Virginia for children between the ages of 3 to 5, including children with special needs and disabilities.
Our organization is seeking a fun, energetic and caring Preschool Teacher to help deliver engaging and interactive lessons to our preschool students within our Head Start program. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for creating a learning environment that helps develop students' social and emotional skills while teaching them basic academic concepts. We're looking for candidates who have strong interpersonal skills, experience working with preschoolers, and who want to make a difference in the lives of children.
Responsibilities:
- Be patient with children.
- Be able to give a good first impression to parents.
- Be able to create a clean and safe learning environment.
- Know the basic nutritional needs of preschoolers.
- Be comfortable educating young children.
- Be able to care for and transport children to various activities and locations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
