General Information:
Job title: Registration - Clinic
Schedule: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; Monday-Friday, scheduled between 7:00am and 5:00pm
Weekend rotation: No weekends
Holiday rotation: Paid holidays
Position Summary:
The Registration position greets patients and obtains and verifies patient demographics and insurance information.
Position Responsibilities:
- Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting in person or on the telephone.
- Register patients for their appointments by verifying all demographics, DOB, address, phone, contact information and checking eligibility on all insurances.
- Collecting all necessary paperwork and consents for treatment.
- Document cash drawer and process payments by collecting copays and assisting patients with basic billing questions.
- Check out patients after their appointment and schedule new appointments if needed.
- Assist with on the job training for new employees.
- Maintain reception area in neat orderly fashion at all times.
- Participate in medical office emergency routine, whenever required and summon triage when needed.
- Cross-train in other registration departments/areas (ER, Hospital, Lab, etc.)
- Perform other duties as requested.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1 year or less of related work experience preferred.
- Experience working in the medical industry preferred.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Intermediate proficiency with computers is required.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
