What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop position at Milberger Farms LLC (2026.2)?
Weeding, thinning, planting hoeing and harvesting asparagus, radish, spinach, squash, red beet, pumpkin, chili, peppers, watermelon, cantaloupe, sweet corn, and beans.
Remove bedding plastic and clean up fields.
Must be able to lift and carry 60 lb boxes or bags.
Must be able to toss and stack 25 lb. watermelons and load bins.
Workers will pack products into boxes in the warehouse.
Maintain farm equipment, vehicles, and farm grounds.
Must be able to bend and stoop throughout the day.
Work is to be done for long periods of time and requires repetitive motion and extensive walking. Workers are exposed to wet weather and the heat of the day working in the fields.
Workers may be required to work during occasional showers not severe enough to stop field operations. Care must be taken to prevent damaging produce and plants.
Workers will be expected to comply with all provisions of this Clearance Order and the Company’s work rules, policies and
procedures, and to perform any and all assigned tasks in a work-person-like and efficient manner. Failure to do so will subject the
worker to the employer’s disciplinary procedures. The employer endeavors to produce a premium product. This is a demanding,
competitive business.
