CON-Maintenance Entry

Position Responsibilities:

• In general maintenance is responsible for the grounds and building maintenance and for repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment, both mechanical and electrical, throughout the physical plant.
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings, manufacturer’s specifications and various other instructional materials.
• Must possess appropriate knowledge of relevant Safety and Environmental regulations. i.e. lockout, tag out, universal waste disposal, and SDS.
• Responsible for checking forklift and equipment batteries.
• Moving equipment/furniture.
• Ground maintenance as required
• Create and make signs for facility as needed
• Change various filters as assigned
• Responsible for daily equipment Preventive Maintenance as assigned.
• Responsible for painting and cleaning as required.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanics.
• Other duties as assigned.

Tool List requirement: 

• Multimeter
• Mechanic tools
• Tool box, roll away
• Tool Belt 
• Other as required

• Ability to safely operate pallet jack and powered forklift, hydraulic lift, crane, tractor and other industrial equipment.
• Ability to communicate respectfully and tactfully with others.

Physical Requirements:

• Full range of body motion- bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, kneeling or otherwise maneuvering the entire body and the dexterous use of both hands.  
• Ability to stand 100% of the time 
• Heavy material handling and/or lifting will be required as described in the Physical Demands Analysis of the position.
• Required to work off of the ground on ladders and or hydraulic lifts.

Working conditions: 

Physically available to work in plant floor environment, standing.

Travel Required:

Minimal.

Education Requirements: 

Minimum:   High School Diploma or equivalent experience.

Willingness to develop core competency in: 

• Industrial Electrical Principals
• Electrical Print Reading
• Electrical Motor Control
• Hydraulic Principals 

Maintenance Skill Tests:                                                              

• Must be taken to establish baseline to determine developmental needs.
• Demonstrate skill, ability and knowledge of proper Safety Procedures.
• Other Coursework requirements: based on skill levels and needs of the facility.
