The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer to lead the technical effort in preparing MilAssist for deployment within secure government and DoD networks.
This is a contract role, hybrid out of Austin, TX, with remote flexibility for U.S.-based candidates.
You’ll architect, develop, and secure MilAssist’s platform for environments like AWS GovCloud, cArmy, and other DoD-accredited systems.
You’ll translate innovation into compliance, building scalable software that meets the highest cybersecurity and accreditation standards (RMF, NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs).
Expected Work
• Building and hardening back-end services (TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL)
• Developing secure APIs and containerized microservices (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Implementing zero-trust principles, encryption, and access control measures
• Supporting ATO documentation, RMF compliance, and code validation
• Collaborating with leadership to align development with mission goals
• Integrating AI and automation features under strict security protocols
