Job Description
Mila's Shawarma is looking for a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Prep / Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This position focuses on food preparation, dishwashing, cleaning, and keeping the kitchen running smoothly behind the scenes. Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
- Prepare ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and making sauces
- Portion and package food as directed
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and sanitized at all times
- Remove trash and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Support the kitchen team with general prep and cleaning duties
- Perform other kitchen tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen, food prep, or dishwashing experience preferred (not required)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
- Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Weekend availability required (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
