Maintenance Electrician

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Perform electrical tasks and assist in other maintenance related duties, including but not limited to mechanical, facility and vehicle maintenance repairs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Routine fault finding, testing, replacing,

inspecting, improving, installing, maintaining

repairing of all electrical equipment in

compliance with all good practice guides

* To carry out general repairs and planned

preventative maintenance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

* Electrical safety; Arc flash protective

equipment, lockout/tagout procedures

* Blueprint (schematic) reading

* Building (wiring) control cabinets

* Electrical troubleshooting and repair - PLC

(programmable logic controllers), CNC (Computer

Numeric Control), 480V 3-phase wiring

* To understand and adhere to the Organization Health

and Safety at Work policy, ensuring safe work

practices and standard operating procedures are

followed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

* To perform this job successfully, an individual

must be able to perform each essential duty

* Knowledge and experience in production and

manufacturing processes and techniques

* Knowledge of machines and tools

* Strong written and verbal communication skills
