Job Summary:
Milam Plumbing, Inc., a trusted leader in new home construction plumbing in Southeastern North Carolina, is seeking a Plumbing Supervisor to oversee plumbing operations on residential home projects. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced plumber who excels at managing people, coordinating with builders, and ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
As a Plumbing Supervisor, you will manage crews, oversee project scheduling, and serve as the primary point of contact for builders and project managers. You’ll play a key role in maintaining Milam Plumbing’s reputation for excellence in residential home construction.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee plumbing crews on assigned residential home projects.
- Coordinate with builders, project managers, and inspectors to maintain schedules and quality standards.
- Plan and assign daily tasks, ensuring efficient use of time, labor, and materials.
- Conduct quality checks throughout projects to ensure code compliance and successful inspections.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues on job sites quickly and effectively.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate plumbing staff to build a skilled and reliable workforce.
- Support company leadership in achieving operational and customer service goals.
Required Skills/Experience:
- 5 years of plumbing experience, with proven leadership in residential home construction.
- North Carolina Plumbing License preferred (Journeyman or higher).
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, building practices, and inspection processes.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a construction environment.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work outside or inside, sometimes exposed to high heat or low temperatures.
- Ability to climb ladders or stairs and work either above ground or in tight spaces.
