Overview
Milagros Grocery is a local mom and pop shop that has been around the Northeast area for many years. We are a small drive thru-shop that offers delicious snacks and beverages for each member of your family.
Duties
- Stock shelves accurately and efficiently, ensuring products are well-organized and visually appealing through effective merchandising techniques
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions quickly and accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments with professionalism
- Assist customers with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas.
- Manage stock replenishment by receiving deliveries, stocking new items, and ensuring inventory levels are maintained
- Support sales initiatives by promoting featured products and engaging customers in retail sales conversations
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and store policies during stocking and cashiering activities
- Fast pace environment and can move quickly and efficiently
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued for connecting with diverse customers
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate transaction processing
- Demonstrated ability to supervise or assist in supervising team members is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems, cashiering procedures, and merchandising techniques enhances your effectiveness in this role
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads during stocking tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- High school Diploma preferred, GED accepted
- Drug Test required
