Work You'll Do
- Set up and operate the grinding machine according to specifications of the project.
- Read and interpret blueprints or design schematics to understand the project requirements.
- Select and install the appropriate tools and equipment needed for the grinding process.
- Adjust machine settings to control speed, material feed, and path of the cut.
- Monitoring the machine while it's running to ensure its functioning properly and to prevent errors or malfunctions.
- Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on the machine to ensure its longevity and safety.
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the grinding process.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
- Strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical instructions.
- Good problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that arise during the grinding process.
- Must be at least 18 years of age now or within a few months. (Overhead Crane operation & 3rd shift).
- Dependable, honest, quick learner, good communication skills, and team player
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including any days, shift, and weekends to ensure that the customer demand is met.
- Basic math
- Experience with precision tools like Gauges, Calipers, and micrometers
- Able to read blueprints.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to perform and interpret computer functions.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Currently enrolled in technical program such as machining, welding, industrial equipment, or manufacturing engineering.
- 1 years of related experience or training: or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
