Position Summary: Milacron is looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team in Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing quality installation, maintenance, and repair of plastic injection/extrusion equipment. Breakdowns will require troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components and circuits. Work You’ll Do: Troubleshoot and repair plastic injection/extrusion equipment using online/offline applications (Industry 4.0 and Automation Studio) Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities on equipment Effectively interface with customers in repairing equipment as needed Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs Install computer software programs to manufactured machines Utilize administrative tools to book and expense travel, track time and attendance, and track customer requests (Concur, ADP, Salesforce) Properly fill out start up sheets, calibration certificates, and preventative maintenance documents Team: The Field Service Technician will join the Aftermarket Service Team, reporting directly to the Service Business Manager. Basic Qualifications: Relevant associate’s degree or combination of equivalent training and experience. 2 years of service/maintenance experience working with mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical components Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time and work overtime as necessary Ability to read mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics Possession of an active driver’s license that is free of any restrictions related to driving offenses, based on initial and annual driver MVR reviews as defined by our fleet policy Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with plastic injection/extrusion equipment or similar types of machine tools #LI-JD1 #LI-ONSITE Who we are: Milacron is a global leader in the manufacture, distribution and service of highly engineered and customized systems within the $27 billion plastic technology and processing industry.
