Position Summary:
The Warehouse Shipping & Receiving – Material Handler supports all inbound and outbound warehouse activities and plays a critical role in ensuring accurate inventory control, efficient logistics coordination, and proper material flow throughout the facility. This position also supports the Hot Fill Production and Dry Packaging Departments by staging, replenishing, and delivering materials required for daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving Duties:
Unload incoming shipments safely and efficiently.
Verify product type, quantity, date codes, lot numbers, and overall quality.
Inspect shipments for damage or inconsistencies and report any discrepancies.
Log all required information into inventory trackers and shipping/receiving logs.
Move incoming materials to designated storage locations following GMP and FIFO practices.
Inventory Control:
Update inventory logs upon receipt and shipment of goods.
Track and record dates, lot codes, inventory counts, storage locations, and quality notes.
Conduct routine cycle counts and support full inventory audits.
Notify management of low stock levels, discrepancies, or product quality concerns.
Shipping Duties:
Pick, pack, and prepare customer, distributor, and Mikey V's show orders.
Verify accuracy of outgoing shipments.
Perform QC checks for labeling, date coding, packaging, and documentation.
Coordinate pickups with carriers and ensure timely dispatch.
Warehouse Organization & Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-labeled warehouse environment.
Follow FIFO for all materials and finished goods.
Restock materials and support product movement between departments.
Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and warehouse tools (training provided).
Follow all GMP and food safety guidelines.
Logistics & Coordination:
Coordinate all outbound and inbound deliveries.
Schedule, track, and confirm transportation and delivery appointments.
Maintain accurate records of shipping, receiving, and logistics activities.
Communicate clearly with vendors, carriers, and internal teams.
Production Support Responsibilities:
Stage all materials required for daily production including bottles, caps, shrink bands, labels, pallets, and raw materials stored in both the main warehouse and secondary storage building.
Maintain organization and cleanliness across all storage buildings.
Sort and manage pallets: good pallets organized for production; damaged pallets designated for disposal.
Assist with movement of finished products to warehouse storage.
Communicate shortages or material issues promptly.
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong organizational and communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
Knowledge of food safety, GMPs, and production procedures preferred.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk throughout shift.
Basic computer literacy; inventory software experience is a plus.
Work Environment:
Combination of warehouse, production floor, and office activities.
Regular interaction with production staff, leads, and management.
Exposure to varying temperatures based on season.
