About the Role:
Mike's Ridge Terrace Pub & Grill in Webster, NY is looking for a passionate and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house operations. If you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment and take pride in delivering quality food with a great team, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all daily kitchen operations, including cooking, food prep, and service execution
- Manage, train, and schedule kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards across all menu items
- Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and ordering to minimize waste
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health code regulations
- Collaborate with ownership on menu development and seasonal specials
- Conduct line checks and ensure proper equipment maintenance and cleanliness
Requirements:
- 2 years of kitchen management or sous chef experience in a restaurant or pub environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain)
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a kitchen team
- Experience with inventory management, food costing, and ordering
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Passion for scratch cooking and delivering a consistent, high-quality dining experience
