We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Parts Sales Associate to oversee the inventory and supply chain operations within our organization. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management, shipping and receiving processes, and demand planning, particularly in the marine industry with boating and fishing knowledge as a plus.
Duties
- Manage inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
- Coordinate with suppliers to procure necessary parts and negotiate favorable terms.
- Implement effective demand planning strategies to forecast parts requirements accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to parts availability.
- Collaborate with the service department to ensure timely availability of parts for boat repair.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and manage the parts database.
- Answer phones, redirect as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or supply chain management.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with Total Control system is preferred but not mandatory.
- Competence in using inventory management software and tools.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
