Position Overview
Mike’s Appliance Center is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Appliance Sales Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting customers on the sales floor, processing appliance sales, managing orders through completion, and supporting daily store operations.

Primary Responsibilities1. Retail Sales & Customer Experience
- Assist customers on the appliance sales floor by understanding their needs and recommending appropriate products.
- Provide detailed product knowledge, comparisons, and feature explanations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with the goal of 100% customer satisfaction.
- Create and process customer orders accurately in the POS system.
- Track customer orders from sale through delivery or pickup.
- Review order status using the Fulfillment Tab in the POS system.
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers fully with sales, questions, or order placement.
- If unable to assist, properly transfer calls or take complete messages and ensure timely follow-up.
2. Daily Store Operations
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as scheduled.
- Perform daily operational tasks related to appliance sales, including:
- Processing retail sales
- Handling special-order appliances
- Supporting vendor restocking and receiving deliveries
- Assisting with sales promotions and merchandising
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional sales counter and showroom.
- Work closely with warehouse and delivery teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
3. Order Processing & Inventory Support
- Assist with placing appliance orders and tracking vendor deliveries.
- Help receive vendor shipments and verify inventory accuracy.
- Support inventory organization, replenishment, and stock accuracy.
- Assist with paperwork related to appliance sales, including invoices, special orders, will-calls, holds, financing, credits, returns, warranties, and purchase orders.
4. Teamwork & Communication
- Work cooperatively with coworkers at the sales counter, warehouse, and delivery team.
- Maintain open, positive communication to support an effective team environment.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Help maintain customer goodwill and encourage repeat business.
5. Growth & Advancement Opportunity
- This role provides advancement potential into supervisory or management positions based on performance and initiative.
- Additional responsibilities may be added over time, including inventory coordination, vendor ordering, delivery scheduling support, and sales leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Sales experience is required (retail or customer-facing roles).
- Appliance sales experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.
- Comfortable learning technical product information and POS systems.
- Must be able and willing to work every Saturday and Sunday.
- Interest in long-term growth within the company.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Pay: $30,000/Year Commission
- Paid Holidays, Paid PTO, and additional benefits
- 90-Day Introductory / Probationary Period

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
