Position Summary
We are seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Lines Insurance Account Manager to join our team. This role focuses on developing and maintaining client relationships, driving sales, and ensuring comprehensive coverage through effective account reviewing and rounding. The ideal candidate will excel in delivering exceptional customer service, identifying cross-selling opportunities, and providing tailored insurance solutions to meet our clients' needs.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Account Rounding
- Proactively identifies and pursues sales opportunities within the commercial lines portfolio.
- Conducts account reviews to uncover gaps in coverage and recommend appropriate products or services to enhance client protection.
- Cross-sells and up-sells commercial insurance products, including auto, BOP, package, workers compensation, umbrella, and specialty lines.
- Meets or exceeds premium, policy and customer growth goals.
Account Management
- Serves as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering timely responses and resolving inquiries or concerns.
- Builds strong client relationships to encourage retention and referrals.
- Processes policy renewals, endorsements, and other changes promptly and accurately.
- Ensures compliance with underwriting guidelines, company policies, and state regulations.
Client Education and Advocacy
- Educates clients on their insurance options, policy terms, and coverage benefits.
- Advocates for clients during claims processes when needed.
- Stays informed of industry trends, new products, and regulatory updates to provide clients with the best possible advice.
Documenting and Reporting
- Maintains accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and policy details in the agency management system.
- Other duties as necessary or assigned.
Qualifications
- High school required, associates preferred.
- 3 years of experience selling commercial lines of insurance required.
- Proven experience in insurance sales or commercial lines account management.
- Active NYS Property & Casualty Insurance license required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Applied Epic experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of commercial lines products, including BOP, commercial, and umbrella insurance.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple priorities.
- Goal-oriented mindset with a passion for helping clients protect what matters most.
