FULL TIME SERVICE ADVISOR

Service Advisor

Service Advisors are the friendly face and front line for all of Mike Murphy Ford’s service customers while working in a busy shop that is indoors (inside the service lane) in a comfortable environment keeping you out of the weather. The Service Advisor also plays an important part with communication within the Service and Sales departments to keep all players updated regarding services being performed.

Job Duties:

• Greet ALL customers promptly either in person or on the phone.
• Identify repeat customers and treat them accordingly.
• Provide excellent customer service by listening to customer inquiries and requests.
• Verify warranty, insurance or contract coverage for services needed.
• Provide repair estimates as needed and help with prioritization with the customer.
• Obtain the customers’ written approval on all repair orders at the time of write-up or when closing additional add-on sales.
• Assist with diagnosing vehicle problems and order parts and tools, as necessary.
• Inspect every finished repair order for proper completion, pricing accuracy and legibility.
• Contact customers to keep them up to date with services being performed.
• Provide concierge support for all owner inquires to assure customer does not get mishandled.
• Take ownership of the customer’s experience by carrying out assignments that allow the dealership to leave a positive impression with the customer.
• Ensure the daily inventory of technicians’ time is consistently sold to service customers.
• Reinforce dealership policies and adhere to dealership standards while encouraging compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintain above average customer survey scores.

Job Requirements:

• Service/Sales experience required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills both oral and written.
• Self-motivated, organized and drive to succeed.
• Above average time-management skills.
• Commitment to quality and customer service.
• Ability to stand, lift and walk for extended periods of time.
• Comfortable with computers and basic office equipment.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Positive, can-do attitude along with eagerness to learn.
• Enjoy working in a busy, fast-paced shop.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
