What are the responsibilities and job description for the Appellate Attorney position at Mike Morse Service Organization LLC?
Looking for an Appellate Attorney with strong research and writing skills to work on dispositive motion practice and appeals in Michigan state and federal courts. In addition to helping prevent and/or correct lower court errors, the Mike Morse Law Firm’s Appellate Team seeks to have the higher courts make fundamental changes in law that will better protect the people of Michigan, streamline the legal system, and correct prior erroneous decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting Responses to Motions for Summary Disposition, Motions in Limine, and other important Motions in the trial court
- Researching novel legal issues and solving other problems for every department in the Mike Morse Law Firm
- Preparing briefs and applications for appeal in the Michigan Court of Appeals, Michigan Supreme Court, and 6th Circuit.
- Delivering effective oral arguments.
