What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Route Driver position at Mike Hopkins Distributing?
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive commercial delivery trucks, vans, and/or tractor-trailer combinations to deliver product to retail accounts with the help of a full time assistant employee
- Build strong relationships with retailers by delivering products in a timely and efficient manner and rotating product as necessary to ensure freshness
- Merchandising stores, rotating product, building displays, following directions from Sales Reps and Area Sales Managers
- Responsible for daily paperwork and the proper completion of all Company documents
- Responsible for any other tasks deemed necessary by MHD Management
Job Qualifications: * Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License and DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate required
- High school diploma or GED certificate required
- Beverage experience preferred
- Able to effectively use pallet jack and hand truck
- Good oral and written communications skills
- Able to down stack pallets of beer for delivery into stores and work in cold conditions
- Able to twist, turn, crouch, stoop and squat repeatedly throughout the day
