Job Description
SUMMARY
Researches, plans, designs and manages the development process of proposed commercial facilities for clients by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Accepts ownership in project from concept to permit.
Interviews local jurisdictional authority to ascertain project feasibility and development constraints and identifies impact and building permit fees.
Reviews title commitments and surveys to identify easements and specific restrictions of the land.
Manages consultants as project progresses such as, pre-construction surveyors, environmental engineers, and geotechnical engineers.
Directs preparation of documents necessary to obtain approval to utilize the proposed project site, including re-zoning, land use amendments, variances, text amendment, etc.
Manages the approval process for assigned projects.
Manages consultants in the preparation of construction permitting documents.
Makes presentations to clients and local jurisdictions if necessary.
Submits construction documents to building department for permitting, expedites permit, provides permit to construction department.
Manages client’s consultants in tracking building permits and project progress.
Performs all project scheduling, filing, and administrative duties specific to the position.
