Duties
- Lead and facilitate a variety of structured activities including sports, arts & crafts and recreational games to keep children engaged and active.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques to create a respectful environment.
- Ensure the safety of all children by adhering to safety protocols and supervising activities closely.
- Communicate regularly with team members and Director about children's progress, behavior and any concerns that arise during program hours.
- Work with team members to complete Daily Cleaning Checklist at the end of every day.
- Transport children on field trips in our company vans (training provided).
Requirements
- Must be 21 years old or older.
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as an after school program, camp or youth program is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to foster a positive environment.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification upon hire is acceptable.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children and team members effectively!
- Must love working with kids in an active environment!
- Must have reliable transportation and report to work on time.
- Must be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude for success!
- Must have access to a smart phone or computer for regular email/text/social media communication.
- Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must be willing to undergo criminal and driving record background checks.
Hours
- Applicants must be able to work between the hours of 7:30 am - 6:00 pm Mon-Fri.
- Additional hours for weekend events, such as monthly Parents Night Out parties.
