Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our retail team. The Cashier will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. This role requires a positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their purchases.
• Operate the cash register and process transactions using POS systems.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately while ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively upsell items to customers.
• Stock shelves and ensure product displays are neat and organized.
• Assist in product demonstrations to enhance customer experience.
• Answer customer inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when necessary.
• Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and register operations.
• Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
• Help customers find the best equipment

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Experience in retail sales is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in operating cash registers and POS systems.
• Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Ability to perform retail math calculations as needed.
• Knowledge of stock management practices is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on phone etiquette.
• Capability to effectively upsell products based on customer needs.
• Required to have knowledge and experience with rock climbing equipment
