Job description:
Answer phones and redirect calls to Paralegals and Attorneys.Obtain intake information using legal case management software.Schedule appointments for consultations.Update and maintain physical files in office, as well as continuously update existing cases.Update, scan, and OCR files using Adobe for voluminous medical records.Open, inspect and process all office mail which includes: processing, time-stamping all incoming mail; also all outgoing correspondence and mail needs to be processed, input in the system and monitored.Drafting, editing, and proof-reading documents submitted for court filing.Submit court filings via ECF.Work related experience with Microsoft programs such as: Word, Word Perfect, Excel; in addition to Adobe PDF.Experience with legal case management software such as CLIO is a plus.Filing, Scanning, Labeling, Numbering, Time-stamping, and updating ALL present and future cases and files.Contacting clients for medical treatment updates as well as governmental agencies for case status updates
***Must have excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and typing skills.
***Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously is necessary.
We are a small boutique firm employing 3-4 attorneys. New-hires will work with all staff members to accomplish daily-assigned tasks.
*** Must be able to travel to both Towson and Bel Air offices.
