Lead Teacher: Preschool

We are seeking a passionate Lead Montessori Teacher for our Children’s House classroom (ages 2.9–6, 18 students). The ideal candidate is Montessori certified (AMI/AMS), experienced, and dedicated to fostering independence, curiosity, and a love of learning. The Lead Children's House Teacher will oversee a classroom of 18 children between the ages of 2.9 and 6 years. This role involves creating a nurturing, developmentally appropriate Montessori environment, mentoring assistant teachers, and partnering with families to ensure each child thrives socially, emotionally, and academically. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly Montessori classroom environment aligned with AMI/AMS principles. Present lessons across all areas of the Montessori curriculum, adapting to individual needs and developmental stages. Support children’s independence, curiosity, and love of learning through observation and individualized guidance. Model and implement Grace and Courtesy lessons, fostering respect and community among children. Lead classroom management with warmth, consistency, and clarity. Mentor and collaborate with assistant teachers to ensure a cohesive classroom team. Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress, observations, and classroom experiences. Maintain compliance with Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (MA DEEC) regulations and school policies.
