Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs.
- Explain repair and maintenance procedures clearly, ensuring customers are well-informed about their vehicle’s condition.
- Write detailed service estimates, including labor, parts, and additional recommendations such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, transmissions, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services.
- Upsell additional services or maintenance based on customer needs while maintaining transparency and integrity.
- Handle customer inquiries regarding vehicle diagnostics, automotive repair options, auto estimating, and service writing with professionalism.
- Manage cash handling transactions accurately and maintain detailed service records for each customer visit.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or automotive service management background is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience in automotive diagnostics and repair procedures.
- Familiarity with a wide range of automotive systems including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, tire services, oil changes, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignments, and auto body repair.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Experience in auto estimating software and service writing is desirable.
- Ability to upsell services ethically while focusing on customer satisfaction.
- Previous experience in auto sales or automobile sales is a plus.
- Attention to detail in cash handling and maintaining accurate records.
