The Fiscal Administrative Assistant manages fiscal operations for all Mifflin County Housing Authority (MCHA) properties and programs and provides support to the MCHA staff regarding fiscal management. This role is essential in ensuring accuracy and financial reporting maintenance compliance with regulations and supports various financial and organization functions of the agency.
The Fiscal Administrative Assistant will actively work with the Executive Director and Administrative Team to maintain the MCHA strategic plan while supporting and maintaining oversight of the fiscal condition and ensuring compliance requirements are met throughout the organization.
This position helps MCHA residents by assisting and operating the MCHA housing community within MCHA policies and regulations set forth by the Mifflin County Housing Authority Board, Department of Housing and Urban Development and other funders, and contributes to an environment compliant with Fair Housing laws and Equal Employment Opportunity. 1. Maintain current knowledge of accounting principles
2. Performs oversight and requests for financial information
3. Manage classification, asset management system, and related functions
4. Manage bank-related functions
5. Maintain, reconcile, and audit all balance sheet accounts
6. Respond to management requests for financial information
7. Review, analyze, correct, approve, and process all vendor invoices
8. Maintains Federal and State Tax and Records
9. Review and correct accounts receivable
10. Perform general office duties
The qualified candidate will have:
Minimum of Associates Degree AND at least 3 years of related experience/training in administrative support and bookkeeping functions
Experience with government accounting systems such as ELOCCS
Must possess a current, valid driver’s license
Excellent organizational skills
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
