Retail Counter Associate (Full-Time)

Join our dynamic retail team as a Retail Counter Attendant and become the friendly face that customers rely on! HOURS OF OPERATIONS

Hours may vary each week but will be scheduled during our retail store hours:

- Monday through Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm

- Saturdays 7:30am-3pm

- CLOSED Sundays & Holidays.

Must have a flexible schedule to work between the hours of operations. Start times will be either at 7:30am or 9:00am.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or answering questions about merchandise.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing.
• Conduct product demonstrations and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance.
• Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure cases are stocked with fresh, appealing products.
• Assist inventory by stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and assisting with inventory counts by the direction of the Retail Management Team.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries professionally via phone or in person, following proper phone etiquette.
• Assisting in the other areas of the store - where needed (filling wholesale orders, etc.).

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience with POS systems and cashiering is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of retail sales techniques, upselling strategies, and merchandising practices
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy
• Experience working in a grocery store or similar retail environment is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Standing 8 hours per day; Lifting - up to 25 lbs. to stock shelves
• Must be able to tolerate occasional exposure to coolers and freezers

Salary: Based on Experience

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
