Role Description: The Plant Manager role is a full-time, on-site position located in Chickasha, OK. This role oversees daily plant operations, ensuring efficient and safe manufacturing processes that meet quality, safety, and productivity standards. Responsibilities include managing production schedules, coordinating manufacturing workflows, optimizing resource utilization, and maintaining equipment reliability. The Plant Manager leads and develops plant staff, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to meet operational goals and regulatory requirements. This role also monitors performance metrics, drives cost control efforts, and supports adherence to company policies and food safety standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct and run day-to-day operations.
- Achieve goals set for the production facility.
- Lead the facility in establishing and meeting continuous improvement objectives
- Develop processes to increase productivity and enhance performance Delegate production assignments to appropriate teams and personnel Promote all Safety,
- Food Safety and Quality policies and procedures while supporting their continuous improvement efforts.
- Foster a well-trained and motivated team by encouraging and supporting the development of all plant employees · Evaluate employees and give suggestions for improvement
- Provide operational and employee leadership to the facility
- Assist executive management with budgeting, production statistics, cost analysis, justification of capital expenditures and asset management.
- Responsible for implementing and reporting of plant KPI’s · Collect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and waste
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree Business or related field preferred
- 10 plus years’ experience of leadership role within planning or supervision in a food manufacturing facility
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and abilities Working knowledge of production equipment
- Proactive problem-solving skills
- Quality System background or foundational knowledge.
- Experience with ERP, WMS and batching software.
