What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packaging Utility position at Midwestern Pet Foods, Inc?
3rd Shift: Sunday Night/Monday Morning to Thursday Night/Friday Morning 11pm - 7:30am
$20.00/hr $0.70/hr Shift Differential
Role and Responsibilities
- Support and report any concerns related to food safety and product quality to FSQA
- Monitor and manage the automatic samplers, per related SOP.
- Document all required processes, deviations and corrections.
- Communicate with the Maintenance, Operations and/or Food Safety Quality departments as necessary, regarding repairs or adjustments to the sampling equipment.
- Oversee and manage empty packaging, when necessary, to increase the productivity and overall throughput of the department.
- Complete quality testing as necessary.
- May include, but not limited to:
- Weight verification.
- Seal integrity analysis.
- Temperature analysis.
- Sample collection for further quality analysis.
- Date code verification activities.
- Assist with Warehouse Management and/or WiSys related tasks or issues, when necessary and available.

Preferred Skills
- Forklift operator experience
- Punctuality, Organization, and Computer Knowledge
Working Conditions
- Indoor/outdoor working conditions
- Noise levels could exceed 90dB, ear plugs are available and could be necessary dependent on working conditions.
- Concrete Floors.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 60 pounds
- Daily climbing on ladders/stairs
- Standing 8 hours a day
