Bulk Receiver

Position Title: Bulk Receiving Operator 2nd Shift - Monday through Friday 3pm to 11:30pm

Department: Production

Pay Rate: $22.47/hr $0.70/hr Shift Differential

Overview: Bulk Receiving processes and manages all deliveries of inbound ingredients. You will be working directly with truck drivers and brokers, WAV QC, Headquarters Procurement as necessary, and the Mixing Department. The primary working environment is outside where you will be subject to all weather conditions. The environment can also become dusty, and you will come into contact with ingredients.

Responsibilities:

1. Support and report any concerns related to food safety and product quality to FSQA.

2. Learn, understand, and properly operate the unloading and grinding systems and any other related equipment following the prescribed SOPs. This includes the pneumatic ingredient probe.

3. Monitor ingredient bin inventories. Work with maintenance to set up the Mole-Master equipment, as required.

4. Measure ingredient bins daily or as requested.

5. Must be able to learn to operate a forklift safely.

6. Ensure proper routing of material flow. This will require you to learn and utilize the WiSys Inventory control systems and follow FIFO principles.

7. Manage and process all paperwork for incoming ingredients. This includes BOL’s, COA, Approved Suppliers Lists. If there are issues you will communicate with Supervisors, WAV QC, and Headquarters Procurement to resolve.

8. Collect samples for quality control per the relative SOPs.

9. Initiate communication with Supervisors and WAV QC if ingredients must be rejected.

10. Must be able to occasionally lift 50 lbs.

11. Complete and distribute all reports as required.

12. Keep work area well swept and in a neat and clean manner.

13. Follow established Occupational Safety rules such as LOTO.

14. Always follow established Food Safety rules and standards to mitigate cross contamination.

15. Work overtime as required.

16. Other duties, as assigned.
