Company Description: Midwest Behavioral Clinic is an outpatient mental health practice dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality counseling services to individuals, couples, and families. The clinic emphasizes evidence-based care, collaborative treatment planning, and a supportive environment for both clients and team members. MBC is Conveniently located within approximately 30 minutes of Novi, Brighton, Milford, White Lake, Clarkston, Fenton, Howell, Waterford, Commerce Township, and surrounding communities. Providers work closely with community resources, schools, and healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care. The clinic values professional growth, ethical practice, and person-centered approaches to mental health treatment.

Role Description: This position is part or full-time, on-site Outpatient Mental Health Therapist role is based in Fenton & Grand Blanc MI and is open to limited and fully licensed clinicians (LPC, LLPC, LMSW, LLMSW, LMFT, LLMFT, LP, LLP). The therapist will provide individual and family therapy to clients experiencing a range of mental health concerns, using evidence-based interventions and culturally responsive practices. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing and updating treatment plans, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and coordinating care with other providers and community resources. The role also involves regular case consultation, participation in supervision, collaboration with colleagues, and adherence to ethical and legal standards of practice. The therapist is expected to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals while contributing to a positive, professional clinic environment.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in Treatment Planning and Mental Health assessment and intervention.
  • Background in Social Work and Case Management, with the ability to coordinate care and connect clients to appropriate resources.
  • Training or experience in Family Therapy and working with diverse family systems.
  • Fully licensed or provisional licensure as LLPC, LLMSW, or LLMFT in the state of Michigan, or eligibility to obtain such licensure.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with attention to confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and engage in regular supervision and professional development.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer proficiency.
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field.
