Description:Job Title: Material Handler - 2nd ShiftDepartment: Warehouse/ShippingReports To: Warehouse ManagerThis position is for 2nd shift. 2nd shift schedule is 3:30pm to 12:00am Monday through Friday. Summary Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials to be moved.Log and remove Bindery/Finishing materials out of inventory for the upcoming jobs.Log excess materials back into inventory when jobs completeWrap skids. Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.Stage printed material to appropriate equipment.Remove full waste boxes from Bindery/Finishing and Pressroom.Maintain product handling equipment.Removes samples of materials, labels with identifying information.Operates forklift or reach truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products throughout the warehouse and production areas.Operates straight truck to assist in moving materials and products between buildings.Computer knowledge preferredAbility to work by self with little supervision.Requirements:Qualifications/Abilities:Excellent verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Good written communication skills.Computer skills/knowledge preferred.Efficient time management skills.Education and/or Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical Demands:The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
