Patient Intake & Communications Representative / Call Center

Position Summary


Midwest Vision Partners is seeking a Patient Intake & Communications Representative to serve as the liaison between MVP and our current and prospective patients. This role is responsible for the accurate, timely, and efficient scheduling and triaging of patients across all Midwest Vision Partners locations and subsidiaries.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to problem solve in a fast-paced call center environment. This individual will provide exceptional customer service while ensuring patients receive the highest quality support in a professional and positive manner.


What You Will Be Working On

  • Coordinate physician schedules to ensure appointments flow smoothly and efficiently
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments as needed
  • Contact patients who have not responded to appointment reminders to assist with rescheduling needs
  • Triage calls appropriately to ensure provider and location compliance
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure appropriate documentation is completed
  • Ensure referrals, clinical summaries, and patient communications are properly documented and routed
  • Verify referrals are received as required by providers and insurance carriers
  • Type and distribute weekly physician schedules to offices and staff
  • Send patient information packets and mass communications when requested
  • Achieve quality assurance and NPS score requirements
  • Comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and remote work requirements
  • Participate in on-site training and continuous education 2–3 times per month
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

What You Know

  • Ability to work independently with limited oversight following training
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including email and text communication
  • Computer proficiency and comfort navigating multiple systems
  • Minimum of 2 years of medical and/or clinical experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
