What are the responsibilities and job description for the CPR and First Aid Instructor position at Midwest Training Network, LLC?
We are currently seeking a Health & Safety Instructor to work out of our Wichita region. This is a part-time, (PRN) position working a variable (daytime/evening/weekend; at least days of availability Monday through Saturday required for this position) . Reliability is tantamount.
The Health and Safety Instructor's primary responsibility is to instruct American Red Cross classes to community groups at the American Red Cross building and/or at community or corporate sites. This position is responsible for providing high quality, superior instruction, providing necessary reports and managing/cleaning equipment in their possession or under their delegated responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS -
-Current certification to be an instructor in discipline desired to instruct. Credentialing as required by state law for course to be taught or administered. (paid training is an option for those candidates with prior teaching background or a background in healthcare)
-Ability to communicate course material in a clear and understandable manner.
-Customer service orientation
-Ability to teach effectively in an adult learning environment.
-High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
-Current Driver's License. Access to reliable transportation to instruction sites.
-Work in education or service industry is a plus, but not required.
-Basic computer/typing skills and demonstrated ability to utilize MS Office programs. Ability to use online, web-based technology for course related training documents and for regular communication.
-Access to phone, internet and email.

-Ability to travel regionally ~75% (Mileage paid outside 30 miles from Wichita center)
-Ability to lift 40lbs and mobility to get up and down from the ground to assist students with CPR skills
-Classes range from 45 minutes (for web-based classes that require only a skills check), up to 6 hours (for a full course). Classes are paid in either two minimums based on the type of course but will always be paid for a minimum of 4 hours.
