Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Escrow Processor to join our team. This role is essential in managing the accurate and efficient processing of closing documentation within our Real Estate Title and Escrow operation. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where precision and compliance are paramount, supporting the seamless transfer of property titles and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards such as Fair Housing regulations, TILA, and escrow requirements.
Duties
- Escrow & Transaction Support
- Assist in opening and maintaining escrow files
Closing Processing
- Prepare and review closing documents for accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate signing appointments with buyers, sellers, agents, and notaries
- Verify figures, prorations, fees, and settlement statements
- Ensure all documents are properly signed, notarized, and returned
Funds Handling
- Assist with balancing escrow accounts and closing files
- Confirm receipt of funds (earnest money, loan proceeds, closing funds)
- Help prepare files for disbursement after closing approval
Communication & Customer Service
- Communicate with clients, lenders, real estate agents, and title companies
- Provide status updates and answer routine transaction questions
- Resolve minor issues or escalate complex matters to the Escrow Officer
Compliance & Recordkeeping
- Ensure transactions comply with state regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate records and organized files
- Assist with post-closing document distribution and file archiving
Experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Real estate, title, or escrow office
- Frequent interaction with professionals and clients
- Standard business hours, with peak workloads around closing dates
- Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines
- Basic knowledge of real estate, escrow, and closing processes
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
