Lead Automotive Technician

Full-Time | Hourly Pay Monthly Commission Bonus
Midwest Tire & Service is growing, and we are looking to hire an experienced Lead Automotive Technician to help lead the mechanical side of our shop.
This position will be responsible for handling the majority of our diagnostic work, in-depth mechanical repairs, and complex vehicle concerns. We are looking for someone who is dependable, experienced, and comfortable taking the lead on mechanical jobs while working with a growing team.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshoot vehicle issues
- Complete in-depth mechanical repairs
- Handle suspension, steering, brakes, engine-related repairs, and other major services
- Help guide and support other technicians when needed
- Maintain quality workmanship and efficiency
- Communicate needed repairs clearly with the service writer/management team
- Keep work area clean, organized, and professional
- Strong automotive repair and diagnostic experience
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Experience with scan tools, electrical diagnostics, steering/suspension, brakes, and general repair
- Valid driver’s license
- Own tools preferred
- ASE certifications are a plus, but not required
- Must be dependable, motivated, and willing to grow with the business
- Hybrid pay structure: hourly pay plus monthly commission bonus
