Direct Hire - Mechanic
$23 - $30 Per Hour (DOE)
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical abilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct electrical repairs, including air brake systems and suspension components.
- Provide tire services, including installation, rotation, and balancing.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Interact with customers to provide exceptional service and address any concerns.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the shop.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or Mechanic in automotive repair or heavy equipment operation.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and diagnostics.
- Familiarity with air brake systems and suspension maintenance is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications are a plus.
