Position Overview

The Carpenter is responsible for performing high-quality residential and light commercial carpentry work while supporting the successful completion of construction projects across Midwest Roofing & Construction's service area. This role works closely with project managers, crew leaders and fellow team members to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and with exceptional craftsmanship.

This individual takes pride in producing quality work, maintaining a professional job site, and contributing to a team culture built on integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Carpentry & Construction

  • Perform residential and light commercial carpentry work
  • Construct and repair framing, decks, porches, additions and other structural components
  • Install windows, doors, trim, siding, soffit, fascia and other exterior building products
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, measurements and project specifications
  • Measure, cut, assemble and install materials with accuracy and efficiency
  • Operate hand tools, power tools and construction equipment properly and responsibly

Project Execution

  • Work closely with project managers and crew leaders to complete projects on schedule
  • Maintain quality workmanship throughout every phase of construction
  • Identify and communicate job site concerns or opportunities for improvement
  • Adapt to changing project needs while maintaining productivity and workmanship

Teamwork & Professionalism

  • Support a positive, team-first work environment
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
  • Represent Midwest Roofing & Construction professionally with customers and the public
  • Help protect company equipment, vehicles, tools, and materials

Preferred Experience

  • 2 years of carpentry or construction experience
  • Experience with residential remodeling, exterior construction, or framing
  • Experience installing siding, windows, doors, trim, or decking
  • Ability to read construction plans and use standard measuring tools

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License (required)
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work
  • Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated work surfaces
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work in the field and travel locally as needed

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
