Job Overview
Busy, multi-Physician Retina practice with several locations is looking to hire a full time retinal photographer/digital imager to join our team. The ideal candidate is a positive self starter with the ability to multi-task and smile! Knowledge of retina anatomy, physiology, and diagnosis are a must as well as patience and compassion are a must. With having several locations around Columbus, travel will be required and compensated.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Fluorescein and Indocyanine Angiography (Heidelberg Spectralis and Optos camera systems)
- Fundus Photography
- OCT (Heidelberg, Topcon Triton, Cirrus)
- Provides support such as clinic trial Photography and OCT
- Drawing up medications in a sterile fashion, intravenous injection and phlebotomy, and obtaining a manual blood pressure and pulse.
- Ability and knowledge in handling adverse reactions in patients and coordinating emergency situations.
- Ability to perform functions using job-related software and systems.
- Travel may be required to accommodate staffing levels at other clinical facilities.
- Attendance, promptness, professionalism, the ability to pay attention to detail, cooperativeness with co-workers and supervisors, and politeness to customers, vendors, and patients.
- Other duties or special projects as assigned.
- Analyzes test data acquired using available computer software protocols.
- Maintains equipment in good working order for daily testing.
- Works with equipment vendors to maintain and upgrade hardware/software to latest versions.
*Preferences*
- 2 years of Ophthalmic Imaging background
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with Zeiss, Topcon, Optos, Heidelberg Photographic systems, and NextGen EMR system
Pay: $21.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
